|
"Grace" baby pink 1950's ball gown.
This sophisticated gown has a multitude of
layers of gossamer-fine tulle over a satin
petticoat. The strapless bodice is a series
of fine pleats with a built-in bra. There
are satin straps which clip on if desired.
Reminiscent of Grace Kelly in "High Society".

"Belle" 1950's ball gown. A lace covered
, boned bodice with built-in bra enhances
the majestic multi-layered tulle skirt of
this magnificent gown. The top layers are
made from a fine tulle increasing in thickness
towards the inner satin petticoat. This gown
needs no extra tulle for fullness.

A strapless organza full-skirted ball gown
with arrogance. The boned bodice is daubed
with beautiful silver flowers. This formal
gown has its own built-in petticoats, which

1950's ball gown. The bodice is fine velvet
with pin-tucked tulle at the back. The skirt
has a bottom (underneath) layer of satin silk,
a middle layer of green tulle, and a top layer
of fine lace. And for a final piece of dramatic
contrast, the gown is finished with a claret
velvet sash. A pure delight! |

Vintage floral print in vivid teal and bold
pink-rose colours on a white background. Cotton
frock with a stiffening underlay, to keep
the skirt full. A classic vintage fashion
statement of the mid 1950's lady.

Vintage
late 1950's tangerine party frock. (Photo does
not accurately show the vivid colour). This is a
formal party frock: the fabric is heavy with thick
underlay to stiffen the skirt. The bodice has horizontal
pleating and antique lace. The skirt has heavy box
pleats to create fullness. The back view (on the
right) shows the chiffon panels flowing from the
centre of the neckline.This classic example of fine
craftsmanship is in pristine condition.
