Vintage Now clothing was
born from a fantasy, a dream I
had many moons ago... I am passionate
about free-style fashion choices
and have always dressed myself
according to mood and emotion.
Our body is a blank canvas and
we are the artist armed with colour,
texture, emotion and intent.
Each day we feel and experience
a multitude of pain and pleasure,
an array of feelings which we
can express wordlessly, simply
by how we dress ourselves. Sadly,
we are faced with clones of
the uniform of the masses when
we go shopping for clothes and
so from 1964 I dressed in vintage
clothes it has taken me 43 years
to create a roomful of colour
and texture and style from all
eras.
It is my vintage
clothes shop and my son named
it "Vintage Now".
It was a long and winding road
to arrive here, but here I am...
ready to dip my brush into the
psychedelic pots of colour and
splash and dab on the canvas
of the now... of the moment...
in my fashion which consists
of no rules, no regulations,
where anything that feels right
is right.
So come to
check out our retro fashion,
say hello and have a play with
limitless possibilities of choice
without boundaries. Oh... and
splash some colour into this
grey fashion world.
For the vintage
clothing virgin who aspires
to be a 1960's mod, or a roaring
twenties flapper, or any other
fashion diva of your choice
we will be thrilled to assist
you and share our knowledge
and expertise. Linda and Lisa
will be your stylists or your
mad cap vintage fashionistas...
We do classic chic to Rock Queen
/ trash with humour, focus,
flair and lots of fun.
If you like
the examples of our stock in
the photos on this web site,
prepare to spend a couple of
hours browsing and two more
hours playing dress ups in our
fitting rooms.
See you soon!
P.S. The Dalai Lama said "Dance
as if no one is watching".
And "Cook with total abandon".
I say... apply those suggestions
to your dress code and enjoy
the dance and the meal... and
look fabulous!
